There's a great temptation within us to want some quick fix, some program, some plan to see us through, to help us out. We need to realize there is none, only GOD!
"Lord." we cry, "show us the way," we say
Jesus answers, "It's not something I give to you. It's Me. I am the Way."
Time and time again the Lord gives us chance after chance. God of Mercy full of love and Grace, he never gives up on us, he keeps showing us the way.
Now is the time more than ever before to READ / BOOKMARK / PRAY verse Proverbs 4:23:
"Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life."
2 Timothy 4:3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.
Believers will have itching ears, wanting to hear new doctrine, but this will lead us into error.
WE MUST STUDY THE WORD line upon line, a little here, and a little there, WE MUST LEARN THE WORD!
In Isaiah 28 he makes this point very clear in verse Isaiah 28:12-13:
"God has told his people, “Here is a place of rest; let the weary rest here. This is a place of quiet rest.” But they would not listen. So the Lord will spell out his message for them again, one line at a time, one line at a time, a little here, and a little there, so that they will stumble and fall. They will be injured, trapped, and captured."
1) "Here is a place of rest; let the weary rest here": this means through Jesus Christ!
2) "Lord will spell out his message for them again, one line at a time, one line at a time, a little here, and a little there": This shows how patient our Lord is, Like a parent, he keeps teaching us so we will learn.
3) "so that they will stumble and fall": We are God's children, and we do need to be disciplined once in a while. These are the growing pains to help shape us and mold us into who we are meant to be.
But here we are when we should be praying we are on social media, TV, anything but giving our time to GOD. Our sovereign Lord NEVER gives up on us He says: Isaiah 28:16
“Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken."
Who is God talking about? JESUS
Look, If you are making finances, friends, or philosophy your resting place and security, you're going to be short, because it won't be as secure as you think.
Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
"Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:29
God pleads with us: Isaiah 28:23-26
"Listen to me; listen, and pay close attention. Does a farmer always plow and never sow? Is he forever cultivating the soil and never planting? Does he not finally plant his seeds—black cumin, cumin, wheat, barley, and emmer wheat—each in its proper way, and each in its proper place? The farmer knows just what to do, for God has given him understanding."
We must handle our situations carefully NOT depending on programs or formulas, but carefully discerning what God would have for us in the tilling of the soil, in the planting of seeds, in the gathering of the harvest!
John 4:35 "You know the saying, ‘Four months between planting and harvest.’ But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest."
What does this mean you must be asking: In prior verses, Jesus began to draw an analogy between the "spiritual food" of serving God and the physical food which refreshes the body.
Experienced farmers could look at the season, and know-how far away the harvest-time was. Those same farmers could look at their fields to recognize the right time to bring in the crops. The disciples should have the ability to recognize the right time for spiritual harvest, as well.
God's promises are sure to come as long as we stay faithful in his word as we are already ripe for harvest. Also, evangelism (sharing the word of God with others) is not merely something to be done when we think it's convenient; waiting until the perfect moment means never getting anything done at all (Ecclesiastes 11:4).

Isaiah 28:23-26 TheLord of Heaven’s Armies is a wonderful teacher, and he gives the farmer great wisdom.
If you don't know it by now;
We are the Farmers God is talking about!
Dear father God, give me the tools that I need to build my life on the foundation that you have laid for me.
In Jesus name AMEN!
