Christians are part of the body of Christ, which is called his church. Be sure you get together with other believers, members of the "body". It's an opportunity to love God and each other.
TALK TO GOD: “Dear God, Thank you for your body of believers, the church. Teach me how to get involved with other Christians and really worship you. Amen.” INVESTIGATE GOD’S WORD: Read Hebrews 10:22-25 (Memorize verse 25) MAKE IT PRACTICAL: I WONDER – Read Hebrews 10:24-25 I know you’ve heard the saying you don’t need to attend church to go to Heaven. Church is boring, right? Now imagine growing up without a family. Families are designed to take care of your daily needs and to give you the continual love and guidance you need as you are growing up. In Hebrews 10:24-25, were warned about neglecting our church meetings. The body of Christ is our Spiritual family. If we stay away from church gatherings, we are left to try to survive by ourselves. (I know you’re thinking what do you need with that headache or that black hole of hypocrites) Look I get you, but “The Church” or “Christians” are all lost people that are struggling with the same exact sins that you are going through. YES, even pastors! (Through fellowship with one another & praising God together our Spiritual Body will grow, and our ultimate goal is to become like Jesus which is loving, respecting one another.) Yet again I get it! We all look at Church as a black hole of hypocrites for they all are sinners pastors committing adultery, women gossiping, people acting Godly yet you know they aren't, BUT who are we to judge, are you any better than them? Seriously check yourself and call yourself out on all the sins you've committed. Stop looking at other Christians for your spiritual growth and focus on looking at God for your growth! Read Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”). STOP trying to control your own life and I give it all to God, no more stressing trying to figure it all out, no more trying to understand it all. The Church, like the family, can often be undervalued for the role it plays in our spiritual growth. Some Christians don’t recognize the positive influence of other Christians until years later. At that point, they realize that they would still be spiritual babies without the church’s influence and love. KEEP IT REAL – Read Hebrews 11:13-16 Do you become impatient, frustrated, and wanting to give up as your needs, wants, desires have not been meeting? Although the people of faith listed here in Hebrews 11:13-16 died without receiving all that God promised, they still believed that God would keep his promises. Many Christians become frustrated and defeated because their needs, want, expectations, and demands were not immediately met when they believed in Christ. They become impatient and want to quit. Are you discouraged because you’re still waiting for a promise to be fulfilled? Take courage from these heroes of faith who lived and died without seeing the fruit of their faith on earth, yet continue to believe. We live in this world of technology of instant gratification and are becoming a world of quitters if things do not come right away. PLEASE NOTE: There is nothing instant about God, everything is in his time and in his time alone! Do NOT become discouraged or give up just (read Ecclesiastes 3). This will give you everything you need to move forward and fully understand God’s timing. God’s timing, especially his delays may make us think he plans on ignoring us or that he won’t answer the way we want. Just know he will meet all of our needs (see Philippians 4:19, Galatians 4:4, Psalms 40:1) EXPRESS YOUR THOUGHTS (Journal Time): How can you put these ideas presented here into action in your own life? Go with some friends or family to church this week. List two ways you worship God. #biblegateway #bible #14encounterswithgod #jesus #biblestudy #challange #help #itsguaranteed #journeyofpureblissministries #prayer
